I have to step back every once in a while to take a high level look at what Facebook is becoming.  To really get some perspective, you need to do this exercise frequently.  While Google sees itself at the “sun” in our universe, in reality, Facebook knows that Google is the “Firefly” in a local campground.  But Google won’t realize this until it is too late.

The downside is that some people will worry about the power and control that will be in the hands of Facebook as this happens.  I’m not so sure.  My sense is that as long as Zuckerberg has control of this thing, then we are going to get purist creations that will benefit all of us.   What can we expect in the future?

Of course I am just guessing here, but these are my expectations from the genius that is FACEBOOK:

  • FACEBOOK will totally dominate social media
  • FACEBOOK will become the delivery system for all Hollywood movies
  • FACEBOOK will replace CNN and Fox News
  • FACEBOOK will provide educational platforms for Universities, Colleges and very likely grade schools
  • FACEBOOK will become the defacto advertising platform for all businesses everywhere
  • FACEBOOK will become the largest buying group to provide health care insurance
  • FACEBOOK will replace EBay
  • FACEBOOK will provide cloud computing with a document management system that exceeds Google Docs

If you are a budding internet marketer or if you are a business that’s looking to increase your traffic and sales, then I highly recommend that you jump in and endorse the FACEBOOK platform.  Learn everything you can about FACEBOOK because if you do, you will be rewarded beyond  your wildest dreams.
